At ABC Rising Star Childminders, we believe the early years are the most crucial in a child’s development. Since 2010, we’ve been proudly providing families in the Bordesley Green area of Birmingham with a safe, nurturing, and educational environment where children from all backgrounds can grow, learn, and thrive. We embrace the rich variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds within our community, fostering an environment where every child feels respected, included, and supported in their unique journey of growth and learning.
As an OFSTED-registered childminder team with full DBS checks and first aid certification, we are committed to offering high-quality care that prioritises your child’s confidence, independence, and emotional well-being. We recognise that each child is unique, and our approach is tailored to meet their individual needs, interests, and pace of development. We know that many of our families are busy juggling work or studies, and we aim to offer a reliable, flexible, and supportive environment that gives you peace of mind while you focus on your commitments.
At the heart of our setting is a deep commitment to Montessori philosophy. We believe in fostering a love of learning through child-led activities, where children are encouraged to explore and learn at their own pace. This approach helps children develop important life skills like problem-solving, self-discipline, and confidence. We incorporate Montessori-inspired activities alongside the EYFS framework to ensure children are supported in all areas of their development—intellectual, emotional, social, and physical—laying a strong foundation for future learning.
We also recognise the importance of outdoor play and exploration. As a Forest Childcare Provider, we offer weekly outings that encourage children to connect with nature, build resilience, and learn through hands-on experiences. Whether it’s a walk in the park, a scavenger hunt, or visiting our allotment and Moseley Bog, these outdoor activities are designed to complement our Montessori approach by allowing children to engage with the world around them.
The early years are vital for setting the stage for lifelong learning, and we are passionate about providing a positive, enriching environment where children from all cultures can develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in school and beyond.
